Moscow, SANA-Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called on Washington to implement its obligations and separate between Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization and other armed groups, supported by the US and depicted as “moderate.”

“Lavrov discussed with his US counterpart John Kerry, in a telephone call, the situation in Syria, including the Russian proposals regarding carrying out joint operations against the terrorist groups and other armed factions which didn’t join the cessation of hostilities agreement,” Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday.

The two sides also discussed suggestions on preventing gunmen and weapons from crossing through the Turkish borders into Syria.
